The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

wow it's been a while .. hope you're all doing great :hug:!

sooo many things have been going on here lately .. especially last month .. it was really a great month :)..
it was so crazy, almost every week we had an activity or a project to prepare for .. but the major one was when my friends and i participated in the IEEE open day - an event that is held every year and all universities in the UAE participate in contests and projects & stuff like that.. this year it was held in the AUD .. and we ended up winning the 2nd place in our category :D .. which is really funny because the minute we walked into the projects hall & saw the other competing projects .. we seriously considered quitting .. we thought we had no chance to win & we'd may end up embarrassing ourselves :lol: ..
it was our first time ever to participate in such thing & we didn't expect it at all :giggle: !!
here'our entry (or a part of it) [link] .. it's a mechanical chain reaction .. it was so much fun working on it & trying to find ideas ..
two teams of my university won also in different (& more serious ;p ) categories :w00t: !!

i also got myself a new camera last month .. Sony H50 .. it's nice .. i'm still learning how to use it :)
oh and my poor laptop is down :( .. the LCD screen is damaged & needs to be replaced .. i was working on it one day and then suddenly the colors of the screen started to change & the left portion of it was off (or maybe burned :no:) ..

& yesterday was the last day in my finals too .. so i'm all free now :boogie: .. okay not totally but for the next 20 days only .. after that i'll have my training .. & then leave to Algeria for my vacation :eager: nshAllah ..

i'm really glad to finally have some rest .. and a chance to check dA again .. just like in the old times :D

i'd like to say to all my dear friends and watchers here on dA .. if i didn't reply to your notes, messages or deviations .. i'm sorry .. i'll do my best to catch up with what i missed :aww: ..

I know exactly what you mean, it was a night mare for me, truly horror, I was reading reviews for months. Now, I'm sure that I made right choice with money I had.
